How long did the batteries in your digital BBT thermometer last?

I started charting a few months ago and I’m wondering how much more mileage I have with the digital thermometer I’m using (RiteAid brand). I’d rather buy a new battery early than wait until it conks out mid cycle! Thanks ladies.

Having seen what one is, I would suggest you have a spare set in case they do run down.

    Good Luck Luv

    Edit.
If I had notice where this question had been asked, I probably would have skipped it LoL

I used a cheapo walgreens BBT thermometer. It’s 4 YEARS and the batteries are still fine.

Not knowing how long the thermometer was sitting on the self when you bought it, I would suggest having a back-up battery. I bouhgt a thermometer and two months and stopped working. good luck.

So far I am on my third set. I bought one and it lasted about 2 months (I think it had been on the shelf for a while). Then I replaced the battery and I lost the entire thermometer when my 4 year old though he could take his temperature like mommy and chewed the tip off…lol. That battery is still good though. I am now using the one I bought after that incident and have been using it for 3 months. I kept the battery from the one my son ruined in case my current one dies.
It’s probably a good idea to keep a spare one on hand, since when my first one died I had no warning, it just didn’t work anymore.
